Queen B
"A sensational tribute band that solely concentrate on looking
and sounding like the original "QUEEN".
"Queen B" really do try and make things as realistic as possible.
Freddie Mercury must be for everyone, one of the most difficult and
challenging roles any singer could attempt to portray. Paul however,
does this magnificently! With his powerful almost operatic voice, he
sings all the hits and struts around the stage in the same
outrageous way Freddie did. Paul also plays the piano to exactly the
same songs.
A Unique Tribute to Elton John by John Ellis - The Ultimate Elton
John Ellis is a musician with many years experience. An accomplished
pianist and vocalist performing from the age of 14, John has worked
in sixties pop groups, dance bands, duos and as a hotel pianist.
John's tribute to Elton John has a combination of three elements
unique in the music scene today: the ability to play live piano,
sing and look like Elton. John's flamboyant showmanship captures the
mannerisms and charisma of the man himself, performing all the best
loved hits. "The next best thing to the original".TICKETS and COMPETITION -

...........................................................................................
In October 2007 we brought to the Empire stage...a Shakespeare
inspired play for schools.
We hope to be able to bring another adaptation this year with another
show. Here is what you missed last year.......
An adaptation of Shakespeare’s
The Winter’s Tale
by Nona Shepphard,
performed by Quicksilver Theatre Company
One of Shakespeare’s finest tragi-comedies to while away
those long winter evenings before Christmas, The Winter’s Tale, brings
to life a vibrant plot of jealousy, rage, fights, escape, reunion,
joy and celebration. Quicksilver’s new dramatic venture tells the
magical story in Shakespeare’s tongue and contemporary language, through
the eyes of the three youngest characters, Mamillius, Perdita and Clown.
The play introduces the world of Shakespeare in an accessible way as it
explores timeless characters and relevant issues for young people today.
For children 8+ and their families
ADAPTATION SYNOPSIS
As its title suggests, the Winter’s Tale is a great
story for whiling away those long winter evenings before Christmas,
because apart from his many other talents, Shakespeare was first and
foremost a wonderful story teller, and this story is one of his finest;
it has one of his most fantastic plots – there is jealousy and rage,
imprisonment, escape and flight, parents fighting, children dying of
broken hearts, babies exposed on deserted islands, a child who is lost
and found again, a bear pursuing a lord and gobbling him up, con
artists, fun and games, singing, dancing and statues coming to life, joy
and celebration; and all this is expressed in the most wonderful
dramatic and poetic language.
In Quicksilver’s new adaptation for 8-11 year olds,
three clowns tell this story in Shakespeare’s language and their own,
through the eyes of its three youngest characters, Mamillius – the seven
year old prince who witnesses his father yelling at and accusing his
mother and locking her up, Perdita, his sister, the princess who is
taken as a baby and left on an island only to be found and brought up by
a shepherd whom she calls father, and Clown, the shepherd’s eighteen
year old son, whom Perdita believes is her brother until she discovers
otherwise. Through them, this story and its host of characters are
freshly and vibrantly brought to life as they explore their own part in
it and what it might mean today.
