The Colnes Film Club
The Colnes Film Club is a group of people who have been meeting monthly on the 2nd Wednesday evening of each month at The Five Bells Public House in Colne Engaine since June 2021.
The objective is for like-minded-people who enjoy films, like to have a natter and meet people, to get together for a sociable event. The concept is simple; you watch the chosen film at your leisure then get together as a group to discuss the film. The Film Club are pleased to collaborate with the Halstead Empire Cinema with the opportunity to access a wider choice of titles and film genres and to get the full cinema experience. Each month's film title will be shown at the Empire on the 4th Wednesday of the preceding month. Screenings are open to the general public who are welcome to join the discussions two weeks later or form a film club group of their own.
- Film Club night at the Empire will be the 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm (doors open at 7:00pm), Licensed bar and refreshments.
- The cost will be £5 per person
- We meet 2 weeks later at the Five Bells to discuss the film.
That's it! Each film showing is also open to the general public, without being part of the Film Club, so bring your friends. And if you are into supporting local charities, know that the Halstead Empire is a registered charity, so it's a win-win all round.
